Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve a diverse range of tax controversy issues for clients
- Represent multiple clients simultaneously in dealings with federal, state, and local authorities
- Negotiate successful resolutions for tax-related matters
- Research and communicate information to involved parties
- Understand and strategize in the evolving business environment
- Collaborate with firm leadership for tax planning recommendations
- Identify opportunities for growth with clients
- Assist with complex tax research and other federal and state tax issues
- Prepare and respond to IRS requests for information
- Consult and coordinate with outside advisors for tax research and audit issues

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required, advanced degree in Tax or Accounting preferred
- CPA license, JD or LLM required, or meet educational requirements for license upon hire
- Minimum of five years progressive experience with compliance and controversy aspects of tax engagements
- Broad tax experience with strong federal tax emphasis
- Strong time and project management skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Interest in research, industry trends, and business development
- Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and business development tasks
- Self-motivated with a desire for personal growth and development
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate risk
