Responsibilities: - Serve tax exempt clients in the healthcare, higher education, and nonprofit industries - Demonstrate deep technical skills and industry knowledge - Excel at engagement management and operational excellence - Assist clients with meeting their tax and compliance needs - Research and draft technical tax memoranda on various tax issues for clients - Review and sign a variety of exempt organization returns - Develop and mentor staff and oversee client engagement teams Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Minimum of 6 years of experience in a tax role with a public accounting or professional services firm specializing in tax exempt organizations, or a tax role in higher education, healthcare, or private foundations - CPA required (JD or Enrolled Agent (EA) may be accepted in lieu of CPA certification) Salary Information: The wage range for this position in New York is $122,000 - $185,000. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
