Job Description:

- Be a part of the fastest growing State & Local Tax team at Moss Adams
- Work with middle-market clients and customize your career path
- Utilize your skills in collaboration, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and more
- Stay up-to-date on ever-changing tax rules
- Assist clients with state and local tax consulting projects such as tax planning, due diligence, nexus and taxability studies, and audit defense
- Perform research and technical analysis of multistate tax issues
- Analyze taxpayer data and identify opportunities for clients
- Keep up to date on state and local tax law changes
- Participate in business development activities as needed
- Develop internal relationships within the firm and help grow external branding

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required, with an emphasis in accounting preferred
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax or JD and/or LLM is a plus
- CPA or licensed attorney preferred; if not, must meet educational requirements to obtain license
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Minimum of 1 year of related tax experience required; public accounting experience preferred
- Previous experience in tax research and providing technical advice on state and local tax issues preferred
- Experience in state and local government revenue department a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creative problem solving and research skills
- Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
- Able to handle multiple priorities, tasks, and simultaneous projects
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to travel as needed, approximately 20%
