A law firm is currently seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in various phases of complex commercial and serious personal injury litigation. The key responsibilities and qualifications for this position are as follows:

Job Overview:

The Litigation Attorney will handle all aspects of complex commercial and serious personal injury litigation. This includes fact investigation, legal research, drafting discovery, preparing pleadings, taking and defending depositions, participating in mediations, communicating with opposing counsel and clients, and appearing in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings.

Duties:

  • Conduct fact investigations to gather relevant information for cases.
  • Perform legal research to support litigation strategies.
  • Draft discovery requests, responses, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare pleadings and motions for filing in court.
  • Take and defend depositions during the discovery phase.
  • Participate in mediation to negotiate settlements.
  • Communicate effectively with opposing counsel and clients.
  • Appear in court for motions and pre-hearing proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in litigation.
  • Prior trial experience, either first or second chair, is preferred.
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Admission to the Missouri Bar.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
