Summary:

The Senior Legal Counsel, North America Market is responsible for providing legal support for end-user sales transactions and projects within the North America Legal team. This individual will be a key player in supporting the overall legal strategies and risk assessment for large, complex Managed Services deals. The successful candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership, along with 5+ years of relevant legal experience. This is a full-time position with no shift premium and may require occasional travel.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal expertise for end-user sales transactions in the United States
- Act as lead attorney for large, complex Managed Services deals
- Advise business teams on legal issues and impact of business decisions
- Draft and negotiate legal contract terms
- Support competitive bids and respond to end-user legal terms
- Identify and resolve complex legal issues
- Lead or assist with contract dispute resolutions
- Plan and provide training on legal topics
- Contribute to continuous improvement through development of new solutions and processes

Requirements:

- Juris Doctor degree from a nationally recognized law school
- Active bar membership in any of the fifty states or the District of Columbia
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience in public sector contracting
- Experience supporting State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers preferred
- Previous negotiation experience in complex transactions
- Subject matter expertise in key legal topics such as liability, indemnities, and intellectual property
- Knowledge of industry norms and legal issues specific to IT products and services
- Strong judgment, initiative, and self-confidence
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a changing environment
- Willingness to escalate issues to high-level executives
- Growth mindset approach
- Ability to travel as needed
