This role will involve negotiating deals with large enterprise customers, developing solutions for business customers, and driving improvements and simplifications to sales processes. The successful candidate will also work with Amazon's Public Policy team on legislative developments that impact the business.

Key responsibilities:

- Partnering with sales leaders to handle legal issues in creative, efficient, and business-centric ways
- Acting as lead counsel on strategic deals and new product launches while providing day-to-day legal advice
- Managing pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries, and overseeing compliance processes
- Developing strategies to address customer pain points
- Driving simplifications and improvements to government contracting and compliance processes

Qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

- 5+ years of legal experience as a transactional attorney
- Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state bar

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Salary information:

- Base pay ranges from $123,100/year to $229,000/year, depending on geographic market and job-related factors
- Total compensation package may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits
