Position Summary:

- Seeking a strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in solving complex federal tax issues across multiple jurisdictions and countries.
- Opportunity to work in Deloitte's Business Tax Services (Federal tax) practice, providing federal tax compliance and consulting services to large global and midsize clients in various industries.
- Recruitment for this role ends on June 1, 2024.

What You'll Do:

- As a Tax Senior Consultant, you will be a valuable member of tax engagement teams, providing a variety of tax services such as compliance, planning, controversy, and research.
- Responsibilities include reviewing federal tax returns, coordinating with client's tax and finance departments, performing income tax provisions, and assisting with tax consulting projects.
- You will also help with workflow management and supervise tax consultants and interns on assigned engagements.

The Team:

- Deloitte Tax LLP's Business Tax Services team is a dynamic group with professionals from diverse backgrounds, providing expertise to clients in integrating tax strategy into their business operations.
- The team works with clients to optimize their tax functions and take their strategy to the next level, while also managing individual risk profiles.
- Business Tax subject matter experts and industry specialists provide relevant services and solutions to clients.
- Services range from tax planning and compliance to controversy and risk management, as well as specialized services such as research and development, government incentives, and tax management consulting.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work within a hybrid work model, with in-person co-location required 2-3 days per week.
- 3+ years of experience in federal taxation, including preparation and review of federal tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain: CPA, licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, or CFP.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, depending on the work and clients served.

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM.
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment.
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions.
- Experience with accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC740.
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills.

Salary and Benefits:

- The disclosed salary range takes into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
- The range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic differentials and may vary based on location.
- At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances.
- Eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program, based on individual and organizational performance.
