A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Mid-Level Labor & Employment (L&E) Associate Attorney to join their team. The Mid-Level L&E Associate Attorney will represent employers on both a class and individual basis regarding various labor and employment issues. This includes wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, employee accommodations, personnel policies, and employment agreements. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills, along with attention to detail and the initiative to take ownership of their work and career.

 

Duties:

  • Represent employers on both class and individual bases in labor and employment matters.
  • Handle wage and hour compliance issues.
  • Address employment discrimination and harassment claims.
  • Assist with retaliation claims and leaves of absence issues.
  • Negotiate employee accommodations and review personnel policies.
  • Draft and review employment agreements.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on labor and employment law matters.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in Labor and Employment practice.
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and initiative to take ownership of work and career.
  • Experience with wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in labor and employment law.
  • Excellent writing and analytical abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters.
