As a Trial Attorney, you will handle cases involving moderate to severe injuries and/or damages, including preparing pleadings, motions, and briefs, attending hearings and conferences, and conducting trials or arbitrations. You may also assist other attorneys with their cases and provide guidance and opinions to the Claims Department on legal matters related to personal injury claims.

The ideal candidate for this position will have at least three years of experience as an attorney, including civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience. They must also be a member in good standing of the State Bar in the state where the position is located. The ability to handle high case loads and function in adversarial or confrontational situations is essential for this role.

This is a virtual position with coverage for cases in San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties. In-person appearances may be required. Key Responsibilities:

- Handle cases with unique legal or procedural issues involving moderate to severe injuries and/or damages
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs
- Attend hearings, conferences, interviews, trials or arbitrations
- Assist other attorneys with cases as assigned
- Consult with and provide opinions to the Claims Department on insurance policy questions and legal aspects of personal injury claims
- Keep supervisor informed of work being done and any problems encountered
- Maintain and update computerized litigation support systems
- Perform other functions as assigned

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree and law school degree
- Member in good standing of the State Bar in the state where the position is located
- At least 3 years of experience as an attorney, including civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience
- Ability to handle cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimum supervision
- Public speaking and ability to handle high case loads in adversarial or confrontational situations
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel
