Position Summary

Deloitte is seeking a Federal Senior Tax Manager to join the Business Tax Services practice. This role offers the opportunity to build new client relationships, grow an existing successful federal tax practice, and make a greater impact on organizations by aligning tax functions with business objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in federal tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research, and will be responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships, identifying client needs, and providing tax consulting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify effective tax solutions for new and existing clients in various industry sectors
• Work directly with clients and have access to a team of specialists when needed
• Utilize firm resources to meet client needs and cross sell among various lines of service
• Act as a trusted business advisor to clients on a variety of tax issues
• Manage engagement profitability, billings, and team resources
• Assist with drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients
• Provide leadership and career guidance to the engagement team

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research
• Active accreditation such as CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP
• Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred

• Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
• Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm
• Proven ability to grow and manage a book of business
• Management experience
• Experience working in a virtual or global environment
• Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions
• Experience with ASC740
• Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills

Deloitte offers a competitive salary range of $119,490 to $238,680 for this role, taking into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, and certifications. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for geographic differentials, and compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances. Eligible for annual incentive program and benefits package.
