A law firm in Denver, CO is seeking a Patent Agent/Technical Advisor with expertise in preparing and prosecuting patent applications. The ideal candidate will provide technological guidance to attorneys, counsel clients on IP strategy, and manage IP portfolios.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications filed with the USPTO and foreign patent offices.
  • Offer technological guidance to attorneys in documenting inventions.
  • Counsel clients on comprehensive IP strategy, prior art analysis, and IP portfolio management.
  • Assist with foreign patent applications as necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or advanced degree) in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Registration to practice before the USPTO is a plus.
  • Industry experience preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Computer self-sufficiency.
  • Proficiency with specialized software and online programs as required.

 

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (or advanced degree) in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
