Fall Summer Internship
The internship program offers students an excellent opportunity to serve their community, as well as to learn through hands on-experience. The program aims to give students the knowledge, tools, and experience needed to pursue future professional goals. Interns are expected to commit to the program and will have the opportunity to make a genuine contribution to the Congressman's work on behalf of the 29th District. General responsibilities include: attending briefings on behalf of staff; answering constituent phone correspondence; front office administrative duties; legislative research; leading tours of the US Capitol; assisting with constituent correspondence letters; and other duties as assigned. The District Office requires a minimum participation of 15 hours per week. Hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules, but generally run 9:00 . to 6:00 . when Congress is in session, and 9:00 . to 5:00 . when not in session.
