As a Senior Tax Consultant, you will work with a global leader in providing professional services to the Investment Management industry. You will have the opportunity to work with major players in the industry, providing tax compliance and consulting services. Work You'll Do: - Provide tax compliance and consulting services to investment management clients - Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for various entities and their affiliates - Perform detail-level reviews of partnership work papers, allocations, and tax returns - Prepare materials and research for consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities - Coordinate and communicate with client contacts to gather necessary information for tax returns - Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced-level tax staff - Attend required trainings for Deloitte Tax LLP and sector-specific trainings The Team: Our cross-functional industry group at Deloitte is comprised of over 2,800 partners, managers, and staff. We provide a spectrum of assurance and advisory, tax, enterprise risk, regulatory, and consulting services to a broad range of Investment Management companies. Our clients include investment advisers and administrators from every sector of the industry, including investment managers, broker-dealers, banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, investment partnerships, hedge funds, private equity, alternative products, and other money managers. Qualifications: Required: - Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model - 3+ years experience in tax planning services or preparing work papers and tax returns - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field - Active accreditation, or in process of obtaining one (CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, CFP) - Basic understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and tax compliance process for real estate funds - Experience in a fast-paced, team environment - Ability to travel up to 25% for work Preferred: - Advanced degree (Masters of Tax, JD, LLM) - Experience in a virtual or global environment - Passion for exploring and utilizing technology solutions - Knowledge of ASC740 for income tax accounting - Previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm - Strong research, writing, and communication skills Benefits: At Deloitte, we value our people and offer a broad range of benefits.
