Job Description:

- Responsible for providing legal advice on a broad range of technologies at the intersection of tech and finance.
- Support the bank's Global Technology organization through various legal work.
- Handle high volume of varied and complex legal work.
- Work on innovative and cutting-edge initiatives.
- Ensure legal compliance in all technology transactions and deployments.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and business teams.
- Resolve disputes with technology vendors and suppliers.
- Update and train internal clients on relevant legal developments.
- Partner with stakeholders to engage and guide regulatory and industry policy globally.
- Provide strategic advice to balance business objectives and legal risk.

Responsibilities of the Role:

- Counsel clients on legal issues related to technology products and services.
- Ensure technology transactions comply with laws and regulations.
- Implement regulatory changes and respond to inquiries.
- Resolve disputes with vendors and suppliers.
- Train internal clients on relevant legal developments.
- Structure collaborative alliances related to technology.
- Partner with stakeholders to guide regulatory and industry policy.
- Provide strategic advice to balance business objectives and legal risk.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
- 7+ years of experience in law firm or in-house legal department.
- Deep understanding and interest in technology.
- Strong command of laws and regulations related to technology in financial services industry.
- Experience with drafting, negotiating, and providing guidance on technology agreements.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues and interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
- Strong team player with ability to promote cooperation and solve problems.
- Effective communication skills to present to non-legal stakeholders.
- Sound judgment and ability to evaluate risk effectively.
