Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in California employment law. The ideal candidate should be a licensed attorney in California, possess strong writing and analytical skills, and demonstrate proficiency in taking depositions, handling administrative hearings, and serving as second chair in trials. A federal clerkship background is highly desired.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on labor and employment matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Provide counsel to clients on employment-related issues.
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings and court hearings.
• Assist in trial preparation and trial proceedings.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 3-6 years of experience practicing labor and employment law in California.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
