A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Post Falls, ID location. The candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal support, conducting research, drafting documents, representing clients, and collaborating with colleagues.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research, analysis, citation checks, and editing
  • Draft letters, pleadings, and other legal documents as required
  • Prepare answers to complaints, including affirmative defenses and counterclaims
  • Produce responses to discovery requests
  • Review and analyze pleadings, motions, deposition materials, and discovery responses
  • Represent clients at trial and pre-trial events.
  • Collaborate with paralegals on case management, including scheduling motions, depositions, and trial orders
  • Maintain law license by meeting all bar requirements, including CLE credits
  • Undertake special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of relevant legal experience
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho or be able to obtain licensure within three months
  • Additional licensure in Washington State or willingness to obtain is advantageous
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Superior writing, research, and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Dedication to upholding the highest standards of the legal profession

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of Idaho
