H2: Responsibilities and Qualifications

Responsibilities:

- Partner with auto claims organization to advise and consult on claims involving coverage matters, high exposure claims, and highly complex legal issues
- Oversee litigation against the company, providing risk analyses and reporting
- Assist with litigation of bad faith claims and represent company interests at mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings
- Occasionally act as attorney-of-record
- Perform coverage analysis in multiple jurisdictions
- Proactively engage business partners and understand business goals and metrics
- Create effective, detailed, and comprehensive legal strategies

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate required
- Admission to the bar of at least one state
- Six or more years of legal experience, including complex civil litigation or related corporate experience
- Preferred skills include complex auto insurance coverage experience, experience with insurance bad faith and extra-contractual liability, and ability to perform coverage analysis in multiple jurisdictions
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify possible outcomes and assess their probability
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with business partners
- Understanding of the litigation process and ability to create effective legal strategies
