Duties:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling e-discovery and fact development.
  • Tackle complex fact, legal, and logistical issues with foresight and strategic analysis.
  • Manage a challenging workload involving high-stakes litigation, administrative hearings, and trial work.
  • Interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, from case initiation to trial and appeal.
  • Ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines.
  • Maintain and manage case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of litigation experience.
  • Active North Dakota license or the ability to become licensed.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active North Dakota law license or ability to obtain one.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Experience in oil and gas litigation preferred.
  • Clerkship and court experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of maturity.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
