Deloitte's Business Tax Services Insurance practice is looking for a Tax Senior to specialize in Financial Services and Insurance. As a Tax Senior, you will be an integral part of the team, providing tax advisory services to clients in the insurance industry, coordinating with the client’s tax and finance departments, and assisting with strategic tax planning.

**Responsibilities:**
- Provide tax advisory services to clients in the insurance industry across business functions such as underwriting, claims, IT, finance and accounting
- Coordinate with the client’s tax and finance departments to gather data for tax return preparation
- Assist with strategic tax planning including researching federal tax law and drafting technical memos
- Assist with IRS audit defense

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related fields
- 3+ years’ experience working with private or public corporations
- Demonstrated abilities to problem solve and lead
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Excellent research and writing skills
- One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM
- Experience in the life insurance, property insurance or casualties' industry
- Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience
- Previous experience with corporate tax preparation, tax compliance, or tax controversy

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,420 to $144,300.
