A law firm in San Diego, CA is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience. The successful candidate will handle various duties including court appearances, legal document preparation, case management, and client communication.

 

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate with clients, staff, opposing attorneys, and the court.
  • Make court appearances on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare, review, and edit legal documents such as declarations, motions, and discovery.
  • Audit and edit legal forms and documents for accuracy.
  • Assist with case management and meet deadlines.
  • Prepare for hearings and trial preparations.
  • Perform miscellaneous job duties related to the position.
  • Maintain efficient billing practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed by California State Bar and in good standing.
  • Thorough knowledge of legal principles and practices, particularly in family law.
  • Critical thinking, planning, and organizing skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word Perfect, Word, Essential Forms, Google Calendar, and DissoMaster.
  • Experience with Infusion Soft, TimeSolv, and Attorney’s Briefcase is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple job duties effectively and efficiently.
  • Reliability, dependability, and a positive, professional attitude.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Experience:

3+ years of experience in Family Law.
