This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge legal issues and support the growth of a dynamic technology company. Responsibilities: • Oversee outside counsel and manage budgets, litigation strategy, and settlement agreements • Actively manage the defense of complex domestic and global claims and litigation • Investigate and respond to pre-litigation matters • Partner with Employee Relations team on legally required investigations • Provide risk-adjusted advice on employment law matters • Support litigation-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments • Build and maintain a global litigation function • Anticipate potential litigation and provide proactive advice to mitigate legal risks • Support Legal department and other business projects as assigned Qualifications: • JD from an accredited institution and licensed to practice law in Colorado, Washington, or Washington, DC • Prior tech sector experience preferred • Strong aptitude for working in a dynamic environment • 10+ years of litigation and employment law experience • Extensive experience managing complex claims and litigation effectively and within budget • Fluency in translating legal advice into practical, business-oriented advice • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively • Extensive experience building cross-functional relationships • Highest level of integrity and business ethics • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong aptitude for identifying and developing critical process improvements Benefits: • Comprehensive health coverage • 401(k) Plan • Equity awards • Flexible time off • Paid parental leave • Gym reimbursement • Annual personal development fund • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Pay Range Transparency: At Databricks, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $154,400 - $273,200 USD. Actual compensation packages are based on factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and location. Eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits listed above may also be included.
