A law firm in St. Louis is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney with 1-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest or experience in all aspects of estate planning, including wills, trusts, probate, tax planning, succession planning, health care directives, charitable foundations, and general asset protection planning. Critical-thinking, drafting, and problem-solving skills are emphasized. The candidate should also possess strong academic credentials and a willingness to accept responsibility.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents
  • Assist clients with probate and estate administration matters
  • Provide tax planning advice and strategies to clients
  • Develop and implement succession plans for individuals and businesses
  • Draft health care directives and powers of attorney
  • Counsel clients on charitable giving and establish charitable foundations
  • Provide general asset protection planning advice
  • Manage multiple projects independently and prioritize workload effectively
  • Conduct legal research and analysis as needed
  • Communicate with clients, other attorneys, and firm staff in a professional manner
  • Attend client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings as required

 

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in estate planning practice
  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar in Missouri (additional Bar admissions preferred)

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in Missouri
