A law firm seeks a Mid-level Maritime Litigation Associate Attorney for their Seattle, WA office.

Job Overview:

The Mid-level Maritime Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling cases independently through discovery and motion practice. They must possess strong writing and research skills, be proactive, and collaborate effectively with team members.

Duties:

• Independently manage cases through discovery and motion practice.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Assist with trial preparation and participate in courtroom proceedings as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and legal issues.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in maritime litigation.
• Preferably have insurance defense experience.
• Washington State Bar admission is required.
• Strong writing and research skills.
• Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Washington State Bar.
