A prominent law firm based in Los Angeles, California, is in search of a dynamic and accomplished Intellectual Property Partner. The firm is actively seeking an individual with a distinguished track record, characterized by the generation of a minimum of $200,000 or more in portable revenue, with a specialized focus on intellectual property (IP), artificial intelligence (AI), and technology practice areas. As an Intellectual Property Partner within the firm, the responsibilities are multifaceted. They entail the cultivation and expansion of a substantial portfolio of business within the realm of Intellectual Property, AI, and Technology law. This includes providing strategic legal counsel and representation to clients across a spectrum of issues related to intellectual property rights, encompassing patent, trademark, and copyright law. The partner will play a pivotal role in leading and supervising a team of proficient attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, particularly in the management of complex IP cases. Beyond this, the role demands the development and execution of innovative business development strategies geared towards propelling the growth and prominence of the firm's IP and technology practice areas. Staying abreast of evolving trends and changes in IP, AI, and technology laws, along with active participation in professional organizations and industry networks, will be essential for enhancing the firm's reputation and nurturing client relationships. The prerequisites for this role comprise the possession of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active membership in the California State Bar in good standing. A minimum of 8 years of demonstrable experience in the practice of Intellectual Property law, with a pronounced emphasis on patents, trademarks, and copyrights, is essential. Furthermore, the candidate must have a proven ability to generate a minimum of $200,000 in portable revenue. Exceptional leadership skills, an aptitude for adeptly managing teams, outstanding communication and negotiation capabilities, and a demonstrated ability to foster and maintain client relationships are imperative. Proficiency in legal research tools and software is expected, complementing the candidate's strong research and analytical skills. It is important to note that the law firm is actively seeking candidates who can significantly contribute to the firm's growth through the generation of portable revenue and a penchant for business development, as opposed to a solely service-oriented approach. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of driving business expansion within the Intellectual Property, AI, and Technology practice areas, aligning with the firm's strategic objectives.
