Job Overview:

The Junior-Level Tax Associate Attorney will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of wealth transfer plans and supporting estate and trust administration matters. This role requires strong academic credentials, exceptional interpersonal skills, and working effectively in a team environment.

Duties:

  • Collaborate in the creation, drafting, and implementation of wealth transfer plans for high-net-worth individuals.
  • Assist with all aspects of complex estate and trust administration matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support client needs.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on tax-related matters.
  • Prepare legal documents, including trusts, wills, and other estate planning instruments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of experience in trust and estate planning.
  • Strong academic background with a focus on tax law preferred.
  • Stellar interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A proactive approach to issue identification and resolution.
  • Excellent legal research, verbal communication, and writing skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-stress environment.
  • Prior professional experience and/or an LLM is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Certification or coursework in tax law is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with estate planning software is a plus.
