A law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, is currently seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The Litigation Associate Attorney will handle local and national accounts throughout California, independently manage a litigation caseload, conduct depositions, prepare witnesses for deposition and trial, and provide trial preparation and support. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, and/or aviation law.

 

Duties:

  • Manage a litigation caseload, including local and national accounts across California.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
  • Review and analyze discovery requests, prepare responses and pleadings.
  • Prepare court filings and manage service to counsel, including experience with e-filing.
  • Provide trial preparation and support to senior attorneys.
  • Maintain accurate time records for billing purposes.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of California.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, and/or aviation law.
  • Experience with motion practice and conducting depositions.
  • Ability to work independently and in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Superior research and writing skills.
  • Ability to multitask and analyze complex legal matters.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of California.

 

Skills:

  • Litigation management and trial preparation.
