The Insurance Tax Manager position is a full-time, remote role based in the United States. This role is part of the Financial Services Tax practice at PwC, one of the leading professional services firms in the world. As an Insurance Tax Manager, you will use your expertise in tax issues affecting the insurance industry to provide valuable services to clients. You will also have the opportunity to develop new skills and expand your knowledge in a constantly evolving tax environment.

Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on tax obligations related to local and overseas affairs in the insurance industry
- Act as a strategic consultant for business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing for partners
- Help organisations understand pricing implications of goods and services between related parties
- Provide advice on tax implications of deals
- Navigate the complex and constantly changing national and international tax environment for Financial Services clients
- Assist clients with tax structuring and address challenges in the ever-changing tax world
- Develop new skills outside of your comfort zone
- Resolve issues that may impede team effectiveness
- Coach and recognize strengths in team members
- Analyze complex ideas and provide recommendations
- Use multiple sources of information to develop solutions and recommendations
- Address sub-standard work and use data and insights to inform decision-making
- Develop a point of view on global trends and their impact on clients
- Manage various viewpoints to create consensus and positive outcomes for all parties
- Simplify complex messages and highlight key points
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technology and use it to provide value to clients
- Utilize automation and digitization to improve efficiency and provide insights to clients
- Familiarity with a CRM system preferred
- Provide a point of view on pricing strategies and alternative fee arrangements

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 4+ years of experience in the insurance industry
- CPA or Member of the Bar certification required
- Master's degree preferred
- Thorough knowledge of tax issues affecting the insurance industry
- Strong technical skills in FAS 109, FIN 48, tax provision preparation audit and review, and corporate and partnership tax compliance
- Experience building and maintaining client relationships
- Ability to communicate value propositions and manage resources, budgets, and billing
- Experience as a team leader and coaching staff
- Demonstrated success as a tax technical business advisor
- Familiarity with automation and digitization in a professional services environment
- Knowledge of alternative fee arrangements and pricing strategies
- Strong commitment to upholding ethical standards and values
- Ability to work remotely and travel up to 20% of the time
