The ideal candidate will have a degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering, with other engineering disciplines considered if coupled with significant patent experience in medical devices and/or mechanical products. Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required for this position.

Duties:

• Conducting thorough analysis and research of patent-related matters in the field of medical devices and mechanical engineering.
• Drafting, preparing, and prosecuting patent applications focusing on quality and accuracy.
• Collaborating with inventors, engineers, and legal teams to gather relevant information for patent prosecution.
• Providing strategic advice and guidance on patent matters to clients within the medical devices and mechanical engineering sectors.
• Managing and maintaining patent portfolios, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.
• Conducting patent searches and evaluations to assess the patentability of inventions.

Requirements:

• Possession of a degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is mandatory.
• High level of academic achievement.
• The solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience.
