Job Overview:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on land use matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and analyze regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in processing entitlements and navigating environmental review processes under CEQA.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Potentially engage in land use and CEQA litigation support.
  • Uphold high standards of legal professionalism and ethics.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to land use regulations and CEQA compliance.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
  • Assist in preparing and filing regulatory submissions and permits.
  • Participate in client meetings and negotiations.
  • Support senior attorneys in case management and trial preparation.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in land use law.
  • Proficiency in land use due diligence, entitlement processing, and CEQA environmental review.
  • Familiarity with land use and/or CEQA litigation procedures is beneficial.
  • Exceptional academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in an AmLaw 200 firm is preferred.
