A law firm in Mandeville, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a federal clerkship background, distinguished academic performance, superior writing and analytical capabilities, and preferably experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing. Meaningful involvement in ongoing litigation cases on a national scale is also desirable. A valid law license is mandatory for this position.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to ongoing litigation cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for federal court proceedings.
  • Participate in all phases of discovery, including Electronic Discovery processes.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and clients to develop case strategies and objectives.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Manage case files, including organizing and maintaining documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to litigation practice.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Federal clerkship background preferred.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Strong writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing highly desirable.
  • Valid law license in good standing.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Valid law license in good standing.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Superior writing and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Discovery processes is a plus.
