A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate must be a member in good standing of the Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oregon, or Washington State Bar, with a strong working knowledge of consumer credit collections, state laws, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.

 

Job Details:

  • Actively utilize the Firm’s case management and reporting software to manage assigned matters.
  • Court appearances and some attendant travel may be required.
  • Possess a working knowledge of consumer credit collections, including state laws in the licensed jurisdiction, and familiarity with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.

 

Duties:

  • Utilize the Firm’s case management and reporting software effectively for managing assigned matters.
  • Attend court appearances and travel as necessary.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of consumer credit collections and relevant state laws.
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Maintain multi-state licensure as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oregon, or Washington State Bar.
  • Strong understanding of consumer credit collections and relevant state laws.
  • Multi-state licensure strongly preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oregon, or Washington State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in case management and reporting software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
