A law firm is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join its team in Seattle, WA. The attorney will have a unique opportunity to gain trial experience while actively contributing to seeking justice for survivors of sexual abuse. This role involves managing cases from inception to completion, maintaining strong client relationships, drafting persuasive motions, presenting arguments in court, conducting and defending depositions, and successfully taking cases to trial.

Duties:

  • Manage cases from inception to completion.
  • Maintain strong client relationships.
  • Draft persuasive motions and confidently present arguments in court.
  • Skillfully conduct and defend depositions.
  • Successfully take cases to trial.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation (clerking after Bar admission will be considered).
  • WA Bar admission.
  • Valid license to practice law in California, with experience in Washington or New York being a valuable addition.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in Washington and California.

Skills:

  • Strong interest in complex plaintiffs' personal injury litigation.
  • Passion for advocating on behalf of survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional research and writing abilities.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation.
