### Job Description
As a Lead Counsel I, Labor & Employment, you will provide day-to-day legal guidance and collaborate with business partners, People partners, and other stakeholders in . Labor and Employment law. You will support the business in . traditional labor law, provide labor and employment law guidance to business partners in various areas of the . business, develop strategies to respond to client's labor law issues, and counsel clients regarding legal compliance. You will also develop and foster relationships as business partners with client by understanding the business goals and objectives, providing business related input, and providing legal advice to the company by providing clients with an informed understanding of the client's legal rights, obligations, and risks to allow the client to make informed decisions.

### Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience with all aspects of . traditional labor laws and counseling the business on labor matters. You must be a subject matter expert in employment law and have substantial, diverse legal experience (ex. combination of in-house, government, leading law firm, etc.). You must also be able to empower your business partners while working collaboratively to achieve cross-functional goals, work proactively and leverage preventative measures in the spirit of protecting stakeholders, customers, and employees, and have effective communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders.

The successful candidate must have a law degree from an accredited law school and 6 years’ experience in law, 2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams, and a license to practice law in at least one state. Preferred qualifications include comprehensive experience with all aspects of . traditional labor laws and counseling the business on labor matters, being a subject matter expert in employment law, having substantial, diverse legal experience (ex. combination of in-house, government, leading law firm, etc.), being able to empower your business partners while working collaboratively to achieve cross-functional goals, working proactively and leveraging preventative measures in the spirit of protecting stakeholders, customers, and employees, and having effective communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders.
