Position Summary

- Seeking a Senior Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice in the Central Region Office Locations
- Opportunity to build new client relationships and grow an already successful federal tax practice
- Utilize tax consulting solutions and innovative technology to align the tax function with business objectives

What you'll do

- Identify effective tax solutions for new and existing clients in various industries
- Work directly with clients and have access to a team of specialists
- Be connected to a strong support system from firm leadership
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships
- Leverage Deloitte's range of services and resources to meet client needs and cross-sell among various lines of service
- Act as a trusted business advisor on federal tax planning, compliance, and controversy
- Manage engagement profitability, billings, and team resources
- Assist with drafting and presenting proposals to clients
- Provide leadership and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team

The Team

- Join Deloitte Tax LLP's dynamic Business Tax Services team
- Work with professionals of varying backgrounds and expertise
- Provide tax strategy integration for clients' business operations while considering their individual risk profiles
- Assist with global tax challenges and transform tax departments for greater impact and efficiency

Qualifications

Required

- Ability to work in a hybrid model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research
- Active accreditation such as CPA, JD, or LLM
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on clients and industries served

Preferred

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA firms
- Proven ability to grow and manage a book of business and establish a solid reputation as a federal tax expert
- Management experience
- Virtual and/or global work experience
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions
- Experience with ASC740
- Strong research, writing, presentation, and communication skills

Salary Information

- Wage range: $119,490 to $238,680
- Factors considered in compensation decisions include skill sets, experience, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs
- Range does not include geographic differentials
- Compensation decisions are dependent on individual circumstances
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program
