As a Trial Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in all assigned cases with competence, ethics, and diligence. This role requires handling cases of moderate to great complexity and/or exposure, and may also involve assisting other attorneys with their cases.

H2: Job Responsibilities

As a Trial Attorney for Farmers, you can expect to:

* Handle cases involving all areas of tort practice, including preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs
* Attend hearings, conferences, interviews, trials, or arbitrations
* Consult with members of the Claims Department on insurance policy questions and the legal aspects of personal injury claims
* Keep supervisors informed of work being done for clients and any encountered problems
* Maintain and update computerized litigation support systems for assigned caseloads
* Functionally supervise attorneys who are assisting with particular cases
* Perform other duties as assigned

As a virtual position, the Trial Attorney role will involve handling cases throughout Northern California, with occasional in-person appearances as necessary. Farmers is open to candidates from all areas of Northern California. H2: Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Bachelor's degree
* Law school degree
* Member in good standing of the State Bar in the state where the position is located
* At least three years of experience as an Attorney
* Civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience
* Ability to handle cases of moderate to great exposure and/or complexity with minimum supervision
* Public speaking skills
* Ability to handle high case loads in adversarial or confrontational situations
* Valid driver's license
