Tax Manager - Real Estate Tax (West Region Office Locations) Salary Information: - The wage range for this role takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. - The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for geographic differentials. - A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,980 to $193,440. - Eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program is also possible. Job Title: - Tax Manager - Real Estate Tax Experience Information: - 5+ years of total corporate or international tax experience - Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience is preferred - Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM is preferred Position Summary: - Seeking a strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience serving real estate owners and operators for the role of Tax Manager in Deloitte's Real Estate Services Tax practice. - This position involves providing federal tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the Real Estate industry sector. - The Tax Manager will work directly with clients, manage the tax engagement team, have access to specialists, utilize state of the art technology, and receive support from firm leadership. - Responsibilities include assisting clients with partnership life events, using proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes, maintaining client relationships, advising on tax issues, overseeing complex federal tax projects, managing workflow and billing, and mentoring and developing junior staff. - The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules, and real estate tax technical and transaction skills. - The ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires co-locating in person 2-3 days per week is required. - Travel up to 25% on average may be required.
