A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level to Senior Debt Finance Associate Attorney to play a pivotal role in the growth and success of its private credit, acquisition financing, special situations, restructuring, and private equity practices. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the  objectives of these key practice areas.

 

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal counsel on a diverse range of secured lending matters, including domestic and cross-border acquisitions, restructuring, reorganizations, and general corporate finance.
  • Actively participate as a key member of deal teams, taking responsibility for managing signings and closings, and drafting initial versions of debt commitment papers and credit documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and clients to facilitate seamless transaction processes and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the firm's debt finance practice areas.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to and membership in good standing of the State Bar of California.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in debt finance, preferably within a law firm setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling complex secured lending matters with a strong understanding of legal intricacies.
  • Prior experience as a key member of deal teams, with the ability to lead transactional matters effectively.
  • Exposure to direct lending, special situation financings, out-of-court and in-court restructurings, and/or private equity-related corporate finance transactions is advantageous.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of California.
