This individual will be responsible for conducting internal reviews, resolving complex or sensitive workplace conduct issues, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting investigations and possess strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

Legal Counsel, Workplace Relations Specialist

Experience:
6+ years of experience conducting complex investigations in an in-house or outside counsel, or relevant government department or agency capacity.

Location:
Virtual positions available in various states throughout the United States.

Salary:
The . national annual pay range for this role is $82,500 to $187,990. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as work location, relevant skills and experience, and may include annual performance bonuses, equity, and benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal reviews involving alleged violations of PayPal's policies and relevant employment laws.
- Design and execute investigation plans, analyze allegations, collect and assess evidence, and conduct witness interviews.
- Interact and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including HR, business leaders, and employees.
- Manage a caseload of multiple internal reviews.
- Make objective and analytically-sound findings and provide recommendations for corrective action and internal improvements.
- Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel as needed.
- Identify and analyze patterns and trends across reviews and collaborate with internal partners to respond accordingly.
- Continuously learn and benchmark against external best practices.
- Develop a deep understanding of PayPal's culture and values and bring objective empathy to investigations.

Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience conducting complex investigations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Personal ethics and integrity, with a deep respect for privacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to make difficult decisions and exercise expert judgment.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized manner.
- Curiosity and a learning mindset.
- Resilience in managing a demanding caseload.
- Calm demeanor even in tense situations.
- Knowledge of US employment laws is a plus.
