The ideal candidate will have extensive experience litigating wage and hour class and/or collective action claims under the Colorado Wage Act and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). They should also possess experience interpreting regulations, rules, and guidance materials from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and the . Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division. Strong writing and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, are essential for this role.

 

Duties:

  • Litigate wage and hour class and/or collective action claims
  • Interpret Colorado Wage Act and FLSA regulations, rules, and guidance materials
  • Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery requests
  • Draft and argue motions, including motions to decertify a conditional class
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients on wage and hour matters

 

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in litigating wage and hour claims
  • Extensive knowledge of Colorado Wage Act and FLSA regulations
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Colorado State Bar
