The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in privacy and cybersecurity issues with a focus on prominent frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, or similar. They should have 1-2 years of relevant experience and preferably be licensed in the jurisdiction or have the ability to waive in.

 

Job Overview:

The Junior Data Privacy Associate Attorney will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support on various privacy and cybersecurity matters. They will assist in advising clients on risk management, compliance, transactions, investigations, incident response, and litigation related to data privacy and security.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on privacy and cybersecurity issues.
  • Assist in advising clients on risk management and compliance with relevant frameworks.
  • Support corporate and technology transactions with privacy considerations.
  • Assist in regulatory or governmental investigations related to data privacy.
  • Participate in cyber incident response activities.
  • Support privacy litigation matters as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in advising on privacy and cybersecurity issues.
  • Familiarity with prominent privacy and security frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, NIST, etc.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar or ability to waive into the jurisdiction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar or ability to waive into the jurisdiction.

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
