- Provide legal guidance and support to various programs within CJILU concerning criminal justice information sharing
- Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis on relevant topics
- Consult and advise clients on criminal justice information systems, access, and sharing
- Analyze complex issues of state and federal laws
- Stay updated on new technologies related to criminal justice information
- Serve as a legal expert and brief executive management on legal conclusions
- Lead client initiatives and incorporate other legal equities when necessary
- Develop and evaluate legislative, regulatory, and policy proposals related to criminal justice information

- Must be a . citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance
- Possess a law degree from an accredited American Bar Association law school
- Active membership and good standing with any . jurisdiction bar association
