Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and drive litigation matters forward with general guidance and supervision.
  • Prepare for, take, and defend depositions, showcasing a strong understanding of deposition procedures and tactics.
  • Draft dispositive, expert, and/or discovery motions with precision and attention to detail.
  • Efficiently handle case management tasks, collaborate with clients, participate in hearings, and take the lead on certain aspects of cases as needed.
  • Exhibit strong writing, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively represent clients and communicate complex legal concepts.
  • Juggle multiple matters simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting all deadlines with efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop effective legal strategies that benefit clients' interests.
  • Experience with local government matters is a plus, as it may be relevant to certain cases.
  • Be admitted to the Georgia Bar and in good standing or be admitted to and in good standing with another state's Bar (and willing to waive in or sit before the Georgia Bar).

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of meaningful experience in commercial/general litigation.
  • Admittance to the Georgia Bar and in good standing, or willingness to waive in or sit before the Georgia Bar.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to rapidly changing legal landscapes.
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research, case analysis, and developing effective legal strategies.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia or another state's Bar.
