A law firm in Atlanta is seeking an Associate Attorney to manage legal processes from inception through post-judgment remedies. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality legal representation, handle a high-volume caseload, and possess exceptional legal skills. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing all legal processes from inception through post-judgment remedies. They will provide top-quality legal representation, handle a high-volume caseload, and collaborate closely with the Managing Attorney.

 

Duties:

  • Manage all legal processes from inception through post-judgment remedies, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide high-quality legal representation and treat all customers with fairness and respect.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment by effectively managing caseloads and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain an active Georgia license and stay updated with legal regulations and practices.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide expert analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks.
  • Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve final resolutions of cases.
  • Travel to various courts within the state of Georgia as required for legal representation and court hearings.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Attorney to report all activity and results.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an active license to practice law in
  • Georgia.
  • 0-3 years of experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation, attending court proceedings, and associated regulations.
  • A license to practice law in other states within the firm's footprint (NC, SC, TN, FL, VA, MD, MI, OH) is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal Debt Collection Law and State civil litigation laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding time management skills.

 

Experience:

0-3 years’ experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation, attending court proceedings, and associated regulations.
