A law firm is seeking an Innovation Attorney - E & I and Finance for its Santa Monica office. The candidate will support the Firm’s innovation efforts to improve the delivery of legal services through people, processes, and technology. They will specifically focus on the E&I and Finance business units, working closely with leadership and members of these units.

 

Duties:

  • Develop and improve the use of practice content to streamline legal services delivery, including creating, maintaining, and automating precedent libraries.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and organization of deal documents and libraries.
  • Identify relevant practice content in collaboration with the firm’s Research & Information team and integrate them into practice workflows.
  • Support, coordinate, and lead projects to develop and improve client-facing solutions.
  • Support, coordinate, and lead projects to streamline and improve the delivery of legal services.
  • Oversee and support the development and delivery of focused training curriculum and knowledge sharing.
  • Regularly evaluate the efficient delivery of legal services through internal data, external benchmarking, and monitoring trends in the market.
  • Educate legal professionals on practice content, client-facing solutions, firm resources, and technology.
  • Communicate and consult with administrators, lawyers, paralegals, and staff on practice content, efficiency, client solutions, legal service initiatives, technology, and projects.
  • Develop and maintain case studies for marketing and business development purposes.
  • Develop and maintain portal pages and other resources for the business unit.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris doctorate (.) from an accredited university or college and admission to practice in good standing in a US jurisdiction.
  • 4+ years of experience as an E&I attorney in a large law firm.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with best practices and technology to manage workflows, documents, and communications.
  • Understanding of knowledge management, practice and project management, and efficiency in legal services.
  • Familiarity with legal technology, including opportunities to leverage AI and generative AI.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

 

Education:

Juris doctorate (.) from an accredited university or college.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice in good standing in a US jurisdiction.
