A law firm is seeking a Senior Estates and Trusts Attorney with significant experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in complex estate planning strategies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment. Tax background and California Bar membership are highly desirable qualifications for this position.

Duties:

  • Utilize expertise in estate planning to draft and implement complex strategies, including GSTT legacy trusts, SLATs, GRATs, sales to IDGTs, and CRTs.
  • Handle probate matters, which may involve preparing and filing motions, and have experience with trust litigation (preferred).
  • Take the initiative and exhibit superior organizational skills to efficiently manage multiple assignments within a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of estate planning and trust administration experience.
  • Background in tax is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in drafting and implementing complex estate planning strategies.
  • Experience in handling probate matters, including motions and trust litigation (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and a Document Management System (desired).
  • Strong academic credentials from a top law school.

Education:

in tax or requisite tax-related courses in law school applied in practice.

Certifications:

Admission to and good standing with the California Bar.

Skills:
