A law firm in Irvine is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should be admitted to the State Bar of California with 5-7 years of relevant experience in employment litigation matters. Prior experience in the defense of class actions and PAGA claims is advantageous. The role requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision and handle various tasks related to employment litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion preparation, and trial assistance.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to employment litigation matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings
  • Assist in the development and implementation of case strategy
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
  • Manage and organize case files, documents, and evidence

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California
  • 5-7 years of experience working on the defense of employment litigation matters
  • Prior experience with class actions and PAGA claims is a plus
  • Proficiency in conducting discovery and taking depositions
  • Experience preparing and arguing motions
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admitted to practice law in the State of California
