Job Title: Property Tax Consultant

Experience Information:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Business Computer Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Finance, International Business, Public Administration, Real Estate or other degree with Master’s in Business Discipline or JD, Business Analytics, Operations and Supply Chain Management.
- Must have (6) hours of Accounting or Economics or Real Estate or Finance with a of GPA or higher, a Major GPA of or higher.
- Relevant work experience preferred (. internships, summer positions, school jobs) or Bachelor's degree and one to three years audit or tax related experience.

Responsibilities:

- Identifying tax savings opportunities for clients and understanding how the client computes each component of property tax.
- Researching issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations.
- Assisting the team with the verification process by the taxing authority.
- Creating positive team member experiences to ensure excellent client service.
- Attending client meetings and property inspections.
- Reviewing client property tax records and preparing reports and renditions.
- Analyzing assessment notices and determining potential assessment reductions.
- Filing appeals and determining liability for development projects.
- Working with tax incentive issues for clients.
- Interacting with team members and communicating effectively through written and verbal channels.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective at researching issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Work Environment:

- Standard indoor working environment.
- Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and clients in person, via e-mail, and telephone.
- Independent travel requirement: Up to 10-20%.
