A law firm is seeking a Real Estate Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Portland, ME. The Real Estate Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of real estate litigation matters, requiring superior research and writing skills, knowledge of real estate law and practice, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive, in-office team.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of state and federal litigation related to real estate matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex real estate litigation issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
  • Participate in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and attending mediations.
  • Engage in motion practice and trial preparation.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on real estate litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and support staff on case-related tasks and projects.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • At least three years of experience in all aspects of state and federal litigation, including discovery, depositions, mediation, motion practice, and trial.
  • Superior research and writing skills.
  • Some knowledge of real estate law and practice.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
