Job Overview:

  • Represent clients and collaborate with the legal team to ensure the highest standard of legal service.
  • Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff, ensuring adherence to all laws and regulations.
  • Manage personal injury caseloads through pre-litigation claim process, potentially including some litigation.
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies.
  • Communicate and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure accuracy of all prepared documents.
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations.

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury caseloads through pre-litigation claim process.
  • Interact and negotiate with insurance companies.
  • Draft legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, etc.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all documents prepared.
  • Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff.
  • Maintain positive client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Active Bar license in Kansas is a must.
  • Preferably an active Bar license in Missouri.
  • 1+ years of experience in pursuing or defending personal injury law claims or similar legal experience such as workers’ compensation, disability, or civil litigation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal relations.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in Kansas.
  • Preferably active Bar license in Missouri.

Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal relations.
