A law firm in Glen Allen is seeking an Attorney/Civil Litigator with 4-8 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will possess superior legal writing and research abilities, exceptional client service skills, and a strong desire to take a lead role in case handling. Experience with medical malpractice matters is considered a positive.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of case management, including depositions, motions practice, mediations, and trials in state and federal courts throughout Virginia.
  • Demonstrate first-chair experience in litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Provide exceptional client service and maintain regular communication with clients regarding case updates and developments.
  • Collaborate with partners and support staff to effectively manage cases and meet deadlines.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and precedents in civil litigation.

 

Requirements:

  • Barred in Virginia.
  • 4-8 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong legal writing and research abilities.
  • Exceptional client service skills.
  • Desire to take a lead role in case handling.
  • Experience with medical malpractice matters is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and efficiently.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Virginia.
